Heart of Juniper exists for young people ages 13 to 23 who are navigating a world that hasn’t always had the right words for them. We’re not here to fix anyone. We’re here to walk alongside.
Why this exists
I started Heart of Juniper after years of watching young people slip through the cracks of systems that labeled them rather than understood them — systems that measured what they couldn’t do instead of seeing what they were becoming.
My own story is full of rooms that misread me, and a few people who didn’t. Mentors who showed up. Faith that held through hard seasons. Guidance that reached. That difference — between being managed and being met — is the whole reason this place exists.

Why ages 13 to 23
The years between 13 and 23 aren’t a waiting room before real life begins — they are the formation years. The voices a young person listens to in that window, and the rooms they walk through, shape the trajectory of a whole life.
The evidence agrees with the instinct: mentorship, belonging, and purposeful challenge during those years carry forward for decades. But we didn’t choose this window because of a study. We chose it because it’s where a steady adult and a safe room matter most — and where too many young people are left to figure out alone who they already are.
